Ben and I went to Berlin in March to visit some friends of ours who'd just moved there in December. To put it mildly, I'm in love with the place. For some reason or another, I have a bizarre love for German people—I'm not sure where it came from or why though. We had no itinerary or plan, so we wandered the streets aimlessly but blissfully and had lots of cheap beer, good food and bloody mary shots. Of course we did the cultural design-y stuff, like visiting the Bauhaus archive and enjoying coffee at TypeHype.
It was such a lovely break away from noisy (and expensive) London. In fact we loved it so much that we're planning our second trip in the summer—hellooooo German men in shorts and flipfops *yum*. And actually, speaking of men, I went on my very first Tinder date...whilst in Berlin. It was the best thing ever. It's an absolute confidence booster...if a bit too much, so I deleted the app as soon as I landed back in London.
What happens in Berlin, stays in Berlin.
